Trigger Point Therapy is an evidence based form of deep tissue massage therapy focused on treating myofascial trigger points. Trigger Points are hyper irritable knots in your muscle tissue that can cause pain, stiffness and weakness when left untreated. A little different from your traditional massage, this form of therapy requires a deeper and more focused attention on the areas that are contracted. Localized pressure is made until a release is made within the tissue.
Hot Stone Therapy is great for patients seeking warmth, nervous system control benefits, comfort and relaxation to tense muscles.
Cupping Therapy is a myofascial technique using silicone cups either static or dynamic. It is very effective on any stubborn spots, scar tissue or repetitive use or direct trauma injury. (Fortify’s Registered Massage Therapist, Marissa Kiernicki, offers Cupping Therapy as part of her treatments.)
IASTM is using tools to further provide a specific release. These tools can be added into any treatment in order to address individual concerns.
Craniosacral therapy is targeted towards the Central Nervous System, consisting of the brain & spinal cord, but more specifically, the craniosacral system consisting of all the structures between the cranium & pelvis. It is a hands on, non invasive, gentle modality that assists the body in relieving tension & bring it back towards its path to its optimal state of self healing.

Intraoral TMJ Therapy is done in the mouth, with either trigger point release or craniosacral therapy. It allows for exposure of chewing muscles not accessible from the outside, as well as the hard palate (the front section of the roof of the mouth). This allows for assessment of muscle tension & compression of the sinus cavity. Anterior neck muscles & cranial bones are also assessed in conjunction with this specific treatment.

Osteopathy is a holistic approach to healthcare that focuses on the interrelationship between the body’s structure and function. It is a form of manual therapy that aims to improve the body’s natural ability to heal itself by restoring balance and alignment in the musculoskeletal system.
Osteopathic treatment may involve a variety of manual techniques, including massage, stretching, and joint manipulation, to address musculoskeletal issues, improve circulation, and enhance the body’s self-healing mechanisms.
