FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
  • Are Vitamin Infusions Safe?

Our infusions consist of essential nutrients that are naturally derived. Our formulas have been developed by qualified practitioners. All infusions have been carefully calculated using medical dosages that are approved by local authorities.

  • Are They Effective?

When our bodies suffer from vitamin deficiencies, we often resort to supplementation to compensate. The human body absorbs 10 – 30% of the vitamins contained in oral pills, hence making IV vitamin therapy more effective as it goes directly into the bloodstream with 100% absorption rates compared to supplements or directly from food sources.

  • When Can I Expect To Feel A Difference?

Results will vary for each client as our bodies are different from one another; generally guests notice symptoms immediately or up to 48 hours later. Some may not feel any noticeable difference, but this doesn’t mean that the treatment was not effective. IV nutrient therapy is sometimes used to maintain wellbeing similar to when people take oral supplements to maintain nutrient levels in the body and “knowing” that it’s good for you to do so. We promote IV nutrient therapy as supplementation, prevention, and helping sustain long-term wellbeing.

  • What Would I Feel Or Notice?

Some common symptoms that are noticed while the treatment is taking place or after the treatment are:

    • A cold sensation in the arm as the nutrient enters the bloodstream and this is rarely found to be intolerable.
    • Some nutrients may cause a feeling of tightness in the face or head which is normal. In the case this is noticed, the doctor is advised and would slow down the drip.
    • An odd taste in the back of the mouth can occur which is the result of b-vitamins.
    • Feeling “sleepy” during the treatment which is a result of magnesium that acts as a muscle relaxer in the body.
    • Skin feels or looks more hydrated skin
    • A great night of sleep is quite common feedback
    • Improved hair and nail quality
  • Is It Natural And Vegan-friendly?

Yes, our ingredients are natural and the nutrients are derived from plants.

  • Can I Resume Normal Activities After An Infusion?

Yes, this is a rejuvenating treatment and normal daily activities can be resumed.

  • Is It Suitable For Women Pregnant Or Breastfeeding?

In order to ensure IV therapy is suitable for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, we require you to book a complimentary Meet + Greet appointment with one of our Naturopathic Doctors to discuss this treatment further.

Vitamin Injections

Now, let’s talk about
Vitamin Injections!

Intramuscular Vitamin Injections are used to correct vitamin deficiencies. Vitamin Injections take less than 5 minutes and are inserted into your deltoid or glute muscle for quick and effective absorption into the bloodstream.

*All Vitamin Injections are reserved for patients only, as they are meant to be used alongside a treatment plan.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
  • What can I expect from an IM Vitamin Injection Shot?

IM vitamin injections deliver vitamins and nutrients to your body for maximum absorption by injecting deep into your muscles. Since muscle tissue has a greater blood supply, it can hold more of the nutrients injected into it, helping to provide maximum benefit and results.

  • How do IM Vitamin Injection work?

IM Vitamin Injection works by administering vitamins and nutrients directly into your muscles, so that there is no GI metabolism. Common areas of your body where IM vitamin injection will be administered include the deltoid muscle of your arm, your upper thigh, and the ventrogluteal muscles of your buttocks.

  • How long does an Intramuscular Injection take to administer?

An Intramuscular Injection takes less than a minute to inject and the benefits will last you from a couple days, up to a week!

  • How often do people receive IM injections?

Everyone’s needs are unique and the consistency of the injections will depend on patient needs and desired effect.

  • How quickly will I feel the effects of an IM Vitamin Injection?

The response is dependent on the individual’s physical and health status. Typically the effects will become fully noticeable after 12-24 hours!

Our Naturopathic Doctors will assess which vitamin injection is right for you! These injections can be customized and tailored to you and your specific health needs/goals.

If you are a patient of Dr. Mekayla or Dr. Nicole and are interested in Intramuscular Vitamin Injections, you can book this as an addition to your follow-up appointment OR you can book as a solo appointment.
